SYRACUSE -- The Buffalo Bills announced in a press release today that Syracuse offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett will be joining Doug Marrone on the staff.

Hackett is responsible for the up-tempo, record-setting offense that the Orange had this year. The hurry-up offense is becoming trendy in the NFL these days, and Hackett proved himself with an offense that ranked in the top 25 nationally in almost every category, to go along with school records in total offense, total yards per game, plays from scrimmage, passing yards per game, touchdown passes, completions, pass attempts and first downs.

New Syracuse head coach Scott Schafer has his work cut out for him in replacing that scorching offense.
