CHADWICKS -- The New Hartford Police say were called to the Xtra-Mart on 3413 Oneida Street in Chadwicks around 11:47 p.m. Thursday night for a reported armed robbery that just occured.
Upon arriving, officers say they spoke with the clerk, who said that a white man wearing all balck clothing, a black paintball mask and glasses over his eyes came into the store, showed a knife and demanded cash from the register.
Police say the clerk gave the man an undetermined amount of cash and the robber left on foot toward Grange Hill Road.
The clerk was not harmed and an immediate check of the area for the robber was negative.
