SYRACUSE -- Another robbery on the S.U. hill saw a girl assaulted and her purse stolen, according to Syracuse Police.

Officers say two female students were in the parking lot behind 330 Ostrom Avenue at about 2:20 am on January 13th when they were approached by a man who demanded their purses.

The suspect told the girls he had a gun, but they said he never showed it to them.

One girl resisted and a fight ensued. The victim was punched in the head and kicked by the suspect. When she was down, he stole her purse and ran, heading toward Thornden Park.

Police say he is 5’ 10”, medium build and last seen wearing black gloves, a black ski mask and a black hooded sweatshirt with dark pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call Syracuse Police at (315) 442-5222.

All calls will be kept confidential.
