SYRACUSE -- An anonymous donor has guaranteed free rides on Destiny USA’s famous carousel for 20 days in honor of the Newtown shooting victims.
Destiny USA says starting today, kids and adults of all ages can take a free ride on the antique carousel at the mall’s food court. The rides are thanks to an unnamed Central New Yorker who made a contribution on behalf of the 20 children and six adults who lost their lives in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings last month.
“When the Destiny USA team heard about this generous donation from an anonymous individual, it humbled all of us,” said Rob Schoeneck, Destiny USA General Manager. “It reminds us that there are so many individuals who work hard each day to make sure children are having fun, are safe and well.. It is greatly appreciated and will make many of the kids who visit our facility very happy.”
The free rides last through February 3.
