Police search for driver in Granby hit and run

TOWN OF GRANBY -- The New York State Police in Fulton are investigating a hit and run accident involving a car and bicyclist.

The incident happened on State Route 48 in the Town of Granby at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Police say a dark red or maroon Volkwagen sedan, possibly a Passat or Golf, struck a bicyclist and never stopped, leaving the scene.  The suspect was traveling south on State Route 48 at the time of the collision.

There should be damage to the front bumper  and to the right side of the Volkswagen.

Police ask anyone with information is being asked to contact them at (315) 593-6194.
