A long-time San Francisco 49ers fan was there for every one of the 49ers five super bowl wins. This time, he wasn't sure he'd make it to the big game until he got an email from 49ers team owner Jed York, an email he thought was a prank.
Terry White is one of the most diehard 49ers fans you'll ever meet.
He’s got the classic gold jacket the one they don't make anymore and an autographed napkin signed by none other than Bill Walsh.
He’s been to five Super Bowls and he has the programs and the pictures to prove it, but clearly five isn’t enough.
White is going to his sixth 49ers Super Bowl this time courtesy of 49ers CEO Jed York. He got an email from him on Saturday.
"I thought it was totally fake because it was sent on his iPhone, I looked at this email and it said Jed York and I’m like you've got to be kidding me," says White.
But it was no joke, this email was real; Jed York wanted to give two Super Bowl tickets to a loyal fan with a great story.
White can thank an article talking about his five previous Super Bowl trips.
"People were telling Jed York, you gotta get this guy a ticket, he's good luck, five super bowls, five wins," says White.
White has been to New Orleans before, Super Bowl 24 in January, 1990, when the 49ers crushed the Denver Broncos 55-10.
Just to think, White was planning to watch this game at home but now he's headed to New Orleans, hoping to witness another great win.
"To go to six, just totally blessed, I’m still kind of in shock to tell you the truth, I just didn't think it would happen," says White.
