A Rome man is in the Oneida County Correctional Facility after having sexual contact with a woman without her consent at a residence in the Town of Lee, according to Oneida County Sheriff Maciol.

According to Maciol, on January 27, a twenty-five-year-old Rome woman was brought to the Rome Memorial Hospital Emergency Room and said that she had been assaulted sexually at a residence at Golly Road in the Town of Lee that morning.  The hospital staff called Sheriff's Deputies and they went to the emergency room.

Ryan T. Little, 24, of Route 69 in Rome was at a house party on Golly Road when he had sexual contact with the victim, who was sleeping in a bedroom, according to the Sheriff's Department Criminal Investigation Division.  The investigators say that the victim woke up and found the suspect having sexual contact with her.

Little was charged with criminal sexual act and was sent to the Oneida County Correctional Facility on $40,000 cash bail.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
