Syracuse University student robbed near campus

SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY -- Syracuse Police are investigating the robbery of a Syracuse University student.

It happened around 2 a.m. Monday in the area of Comstock Avenue and Harrison Street.

The victim, a male S.U. student, was approached by three men who demanded money and his phone. He was assaulted by the suspects before they stole his property and took off. No weapon was threatened or shown during the robbery.

The student suffered a cut to his ear and abrasions to his face, arm and legs.

The suspects are described as follows: Suspect #1; male, black, 6' 01", 190lbs, early 20's, goatee, last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and jeans. Suspect #2: male, black, 5' 10", 190lbs, early 20's, last seen wearing a black puffy "North Face" brand type coat.  Suspect #3: male, black, early 20's no further description.

The suspects were last seen running towards Thornden Park.
