AUBURN -- Cayuga County 911 confirms an SUV hit a train at the railroad crossing on State Street in Auburn Tuesday morning.

A 911 spokesperson says an unidentified woman drove too close to a passing train and clipped the train around 9:00 a.m., causing minor damage to the SUV.

No injuries have been reported.

Auburn Police say State Street near the Holiday Inn was blocked while investigators inspected the train and tracks for damage. The road has since reopened.
