SYRACUSE -- A Herkimer County man was sentenced to 151 months, or just over 12 and a half years, in prison plus five years supervised release for growing and selling marijuana at 162 McIntyre Road in Frankfort, according to US Attorney Richard S. Hartunian.

42-year-old Corey Leitz was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Syracuse, where he pleaded guilty to “knowingly manufacturing over one thousand marijuana plants.”

The charges Leitz pleaded guilty to include that he had successfully grown 3200 marijuana plants at a barn on McIntyre Road between August and December 14th, 2011.

The charges say Leitz then sold the marijuana he grew to various customers.

This is Leitz’s second felony drug conviction, the previous coming in 1998.
