UTICA -- A woman was shot in the head while unconscious, according to Utica Police. On February 4th, Utica Police responded to Route 12 on a call that a woman in a car had a medical condition.

The police interview found that the woman went home at around 9pm on February 4th and found her ex-boyfriend in her apartment. After an argument the victim said 37-year-old Jerry McNair strangled her with a USB cable until she lost consciousness.

She came to at about 3pm on Tuesday, and called a family member to take her to the hospital.

Medical examiners found that the woman had been shot point-blank in the back of the head.

The Utica Police department is asking for the public’s help in finding McNair.

They say that McNair should be considered armed and dangerous. Police think he is still in Utica, and may have people helping him hide.
