TOWN OF FLOYD -- Deputies in Oneida County say they responded to a six motor vehicle accident on State Route 49 in the Town of Floyd on Monday morning around 7:30 a.m.

Deputies say the accident happened when a driver lost control of their vehicle on black ice, causing a chain reaction.

As a result, a separate three car accident happened and two other vehicles exited the road.

One driver was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for a spinal injury and another was transported to Rome ER. Both were treated and released.
