22-year-old man killed in fire at Gouverneur home

GOUVERNEUR (AP) -- Authorities say a 22-year-old man has died in a late-night fire at his home in northern New York.

Police tell WWNY-TV in Watertown that the fire was reported just after 11 p.m. Tuesday in Gouverneur in eastern St. Lawrence County

Officials say the house was fully involved wihen firefighters arrived. Police say firefighters found Brian Mandigo inside the home. He was taken to E.J. Noble Hospital in Gouverneur, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the fire is still under investigation and an autopsy is pending.
