OSCEOLA -- One person is dead after a fatal snowmobile crash in Osceola on Saturday night.
Lewis County Sheriffs say the incident happened on the North South Road in the Town of Osceola.
Officials say witnesses noticed the victim's skiis turn sharply to the left for unknown reasons.
The victim was standing up on his snowmobile when it turned, causing the handlebars to strike his chest. The victim was tossed from the snowmobile and pronounced dead a short time later.
Officials have not yet released the victim's name.
