SYRACUSE -- There will be light snow showers and flurries in Central New York on Monday but they should gradually diminish by the afternoon, according to meteorologist Peter Hall.

 It will be a cloudy day in the area.  The best chance of seeing even a peek of sunshine will be later Monday afternoon.

Today’s high is expected to be 35 degrees with a low of 23.
