AUBURN, CAYUGA COUNTY -- An Auburn man is accused of sexually abusing two young girls, in separate incidents.

James Quinn, 76, faces sexual abuse and coercion charges, as well as two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigators say the first instance of alleged abuse was reported in July, 2008, but at that time, there wasn't enough evidence to make an arrest.

New evidence was developed - and the case was recently reopened.

The second victim only recently came forward. She told police Quinn threatened her not to tell anyone what had happened.

The girls were 8 and 11 years old at the time of the alleged abuse. Police say they both had contact with Quinn.

Right now, police are asking for your help as they try to learn more about Quinn.

If you have any information that could be helpful, call 315-255-4702. Ask for Detective Jeffery Mead.
