SYRACUSE -- Road work on I-481 north will be delayed due to the weather.
When the construction begins, bridge deck repairs on the northbound lanes just past the 690 interchange will have the highway down to one lane, with flaggers directing traffic on some days until mid-May. The highway passes over the road connecting a NYSDOT maintenance facility on Butternut Drive to Interstate 690 west.
Other state road repairs are also planned including:
**Route 174 over Nine Mile Creek, in the Town of Camillus
**State Route 38 over Dry Creek, in the Town of Moravia, Cayuga County
**State Route 38 over Owasco Creek in the Town of Conquest, Cayuga County
**Extensive work is also planned for 81 in the Cortland/Homer areas this summer.
