Soldiers at Fort Drum are preparing to be deployed to Afghanistan.
The 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, was identified Thursday as one of three major units to deploy this spring in an announcement from the Department of Defense.
The unit will provide aviation support while overseas.
