OSWEGO CO. -- Three people in Oswego County are charged with welfare fraud.
25-year-old Jessica Myers and 28-year-old Edward Schroeder, of 5350 State Route 104 Bldg. Lot 19 in Oswego are charged with offering a false instrument for filing, welfare fraud and grand larceny. Oswego County Sheriff's deputies say they obtained more than $4,000 worth of food stamp and Medicaid benefits. They were arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court and released on their own recognizance. They are due back in Mexico Town Court on April 10.
27-year-old Trisha Nash, of 235 Stock Rd. in Hannibal is also charged with offering a false instrument for filing, welfare fraud and grand larceny. Deputies say she obtained more than $5,000 in food stamps and Medicaid benefits. She was arraigned in the Town of Volney Court and sent to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or bond and is scheduled to appear in Mexico Town Court on April 3.
