Forecast - Slippery this morning, improving weekend ahead

SYRACUSE -- Light snow will taper off after the morning on Friday, according to meteorologist Peter Hall.

Light snow overnight will taper off late Friday morning. Accumulations of a coating to 1-2 inches is likely for many areas. However, up to 3-4 inches will be possible over the highest elevations of the central and southern tier.

After that it will be a cloudy, breezy day with possible peeks of sun.

The high is expected to be 37 degrees with a low of 27.

The weekend looks brighter and better.
