UTICA -- Utica Police responded to a larceny call at ECR International on Dwyer Avenue on February 17.

Security officers at the company told police that they suspected another security guard of stealing thousands of dollars of copper piping from the company.

Security said that they watched 23-year-old Eric Engle steal the piping, and said that after they confronted him, he admitted to stealing the copper piping regularly since October.

Utica Police arrested Engle and charged him with grand larceny.
