SYRACUSE -- WonderWorks, a "scientific amusement park for the mind," opens at Destiny USA on Saturday. The opening was celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday morning.
The venue is located on the third floor of Destiny USA and has more than 100 hands-on experiences, demonstrations and activities including natural disasters, light and sound, physical challenge, imagination and space.
WonderWorks also features the Canyon Climb Adventure, which is a large suspended ropes course that is more than 70 feet off the ground.
The Canyon Climb Adventure features 35 suspended platforms. WonderWorks general manager Todd Buchko says the course is designed to build confidence.
"The greatest thing is this is completely safe. We have people out on the course helping you, guiding you, encouraging you, so it's completely safe," says Buchko.
