SYRACUSE -- An overnight water main break in downtown Syracuse had repair crews up early Thursday morning.
According to the Syracuse Water Department, a pipe on the 100 block of West Jefferson Street ruptured around 3:00 a.m., spilling water into the street. That section of West Jefferson, between Clinton Street and Salina Street, is currently closed while crews work to repair the damaged pipe.
The department says work started around 6:00 a.m., but they do not have a timetable on when it will be completed.
