SYRACUSE -- The H.W. Smith School in Syracuse is getting up to $21.3 million for its renovation.

The Joint Schools Construction Board approved the plan Thursday morning.

H.W. Smith is the last of five Syracuse schools selected by the board for phase one of a nearly $50 million dollar renovation project.

Other schools on the Joint Schools Construction Board renovation list include Shea Elementary School and Clary Middle School, which have already been renovated.

The Institute of Technology at Syracuse Central will be finished in December and Fowler High School and H.W. Smith are expected to be completed by the end of 2013.
