SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and another victim wounded.
On Sunday January 20, police responded to a shooting on Highland Street in Syracuse. When they arrived, they found 49 year old Angelo Jenkins dead and a second victim with a gunshot wound.
Police say after they spoke with several witnesses, they identified the suspect as Shala Williams of Syracuse.
Early Friday morning detectives from the Syracuse Police Criminal Investigation Division and members of the Syracuse Police Department SWAT Team executed a search warrant and arrested Williams.
The 31 year old is charged with murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
