VERONA -- A purse-snatching at the Turning Stone Casino ended badly for an Oswego man after he was caught with the victim’s debit card.

Oneida County Sheriff’s were called to the casino after they say 25-year-old Michael J. Sanderson Jr. tried to run from security, damaging casino property in the attempt.

When deputies arrived, they found Sanderson had a stolen debit card, which belonged to the woman whose purse was stolen.

Sanderson was arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen property.

He is being held without bail, pending further proceedings.
