SYRACUSE -- Local attorney Martin J. Rothschild is facing scrutiny in a child pornography investigation.
Onondaga County District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick revealed to CNYCentral that his office has been investigating Rothschild for a couple of months. Part of the investigative team is the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which looks into online crimes including child pornography.
On Tuesday morning, State Police searched Rothschild's office on Bridge Street in East Syracuse along with his Manlius home.
Police seized two computers in the raid and forensic work should be complete later this week.
No arrests have been made in the case, and Rothschild has not been charged with a crime.
Fitzpatrick says the investigation does not involve any direct interaction with children.
The agencies involved in the investigation include New York State Police Special Investigations Unit, State Police Computer Crimes Unit, U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Marshal's Office.
