TOWN OF CLAY -- Onondaga County Sheriffs are investigating an strong-armed robbery that happened at about 6:25 am March 10 at the Sunoco gas station at 7549 Oswego Road in the Town of Clay near Wegmans.

Deputies say a man went into the store and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect did not display any weapons and got away on foot with some cash after a brief struggle.

The clerk had minor injuries after the scuffle.

Deputies say the suspect is a white male, approximately 5’ 10” tall and weighs about 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a black winter vest and jeans. He was also wearing a baseball cap and a winter facemask.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit are currently investigating, and anyone with information is asked to call them at (315) 435-3081 or e-mail sherifftips@ongov.net.
