SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (AP) -- The man accused of threatening to kill a student at an upstate New York college is being brought back from New Jersey to face charges.

Police in Saratoga Springs say two investigators from the department are heading to Atlantic City, N.J., on Friday to bring 49-year-old Lance Leonard back to the upstate city.

Authorities say Leonard threatened to kill a Skidmore College student last week after she tried to break off a relationship with her. Officials locked down the campus for several hours because of the threat.

Leonard was tracked down in Atlantic City on March 6 and arrested.

Authorities describe Leonard as a transient whose last known address was in Cuttyhunk, an island off the coast of Massachusetts.

Prosecutors say he faces a felony charge of first-degree coercion.
