Rain but record warmth for Central New York

SYRACUSE -- The record warmth for January 30th, 54 degrees set back in 2006, should be broken on Wednesday according to meteorologist Peter Hall.

It will be windy in Central New York today and rain is expected.  In fact, there is a flood warning for parts of the Central New York area, although they are expected to be localized along streams, creeks and rivers.

Early on, there will be isolated showers that will give way to scattered showers.  By midday and into the afternoon and evening, storms are expected with possible thunder and lightning by night.

There are also high wind warnings and advisories for Central New York.  Winds are expected to blow at 25 to 35 miles per hour.  However, gusts could reach as high as 55 miles per hour.

The high is expected to be 62 degrees, which would shatter the record by eight degrees.  The low is expected to be 35 degrees.
