BRUTUS -- Cayuga County detectives say vandals struck the Weedsport Rural Cemetery in the Town of Brutus.
According to deputies crooks struck sometime overnight on Wednesday.
20 headstones and monuments were damaged or tipped over.
Grave decorations, flags and other items were also strewn across the cemetery.
Investigators are still counting up the damage but its expected to be in the thousands.
