CICERO -- At least five people, including three firefighters, were reported injured after a house fire in Cicero late Thursday night.

According to Cicero Fire Chief Jon Barrett, around 11:40 p.m. firefighters responded to a single family house fire at 6162 Wynmoor Drive, off of State Route 31.

Barrett says upon arrival he noticed two people were already outside of the house laying on the ground, and another person was still stuck inside the house on the second floor.

Neighbors and police helped firefighters get that person out of the home. Four people in all were able to escape.

The cause of the fire and extent of injuries are unknown at this time. Three residents and three firefighters were taken to local hospitals for treatment of injuries, including heat exhaustion and dehydration. The firefighters and one of the residents have been released.
