CANASTOTA -- Several fire departments responded to the scene of a fire at a recycling plant and warehouse early Friday morning.

According to Madison County 911, a fire broke out at the Prime Materials Recovery Inc. facility on Madison Boulevard just after 5:30 a.m. Fire officials say a fire started in the ceiling, but was contained and put out.

A 911 dispatcher says seven fire departments responded to the scene, but no one was injured in the fire. No word on a cause.

Prime Materials collects, recycles, and sells scrap metal.
