Shooting on Hartson St. ends with man in serious condition

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police are investigating a shooting that happened at about 1:00am Saturday morning on the corner of Hartson Street and Lydell Avenue.

Police say the victim, 37-year-old Michael Davidson was in his vehicle when he was approached by a Hispanic man who pointed a gun at him, demanding his property.

Davidson told police he tried to drive away, but the suspect fired his gun, passing through Davidson’s right arm and ending up in his chest cavity.

Police say Davidson then drove to his girlfriend’s house in north Syracuse before being taken to North Medical Urgent Care.

He was immediately transferred to Upstate University Hospital to have the bullet removed.

Davidson is listed in serious but stable condition.
