TOWN OF NORTH NORWICH -- A missing 13-year old hunter who was lost Sunday evening in the Town of North Norwich has been found, according to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office.
A sheriff’s snowmobile unit found the boy off Post Road in North Norwich, about a mile mile from where he and his father were separated hunting small game in the area of Whaupaunaucau and Ripple Roads. The snowmobile unit was checking after a possible sighting by LifeNet of New York helicopter. The boy was treated at the scene and released to his father.
The father and son, from Hancock, had hunted the area before and were familiar with it.
