OSWEGO COUNTY -- Investigators in Oswego County say a 35 year old man suffered a stab wound to the neck around 2:00 a.m. Thursday in a car parked in the 100 block of City Line Road in Scbiba.

Here is what police say happened: The investigation determined that the victim, Daryl M. Graddy, 35, was stabbed once in the neck with a kitchen knife while he was within a vehicle that had become disabled in the ditch on City Line Road in the Town of Scriba. The stabbing allegedly occurred subsequent to a prior argument and physical altercation between the victim and the suspect, James Gibeau, 31 of 289 County Route 29, Lot 13 Oswego.

Gibeau was arrested by Troopers and charged with 1 count of Assault in the 1st degree (Class B Felony), and 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (Class D Felony). Gibeau was arraigned in the Town of Volney Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond with a future return court date in the Town of Scriba Court.
