SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police are investigating a stabbing that happened around 6:30pm Sunday evening on the 500 block of Gifford Street.

Police say Jerami Lozada, 22, walked into a store at 504 Gifford Street with puncture wounds and cuts to his side and abdomen, and asked the store to call 911 because he had been robbed.

Lozada says he was approached by several black male teens, who took his cell phone.

Police say one suspect had a knife and was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Lozada's injuries are not life threatening.  Anyone with information is asked to call Syracuse Police at 442-5222.
