CORTLANDVILLE, CORTLAND CO. -- A Cortland man is accused of sexually abusing a child.
42-year-old Shane Fournier, of Lorraine Drive, is charged with sexual misconduct, criminal sexual act and sexual abuse.
Cortland County Sheriff's deputies say Fournier had oral sexual contact with a 7-year-old girl at a location on Mclean Road in the Town of Cortlandville.
The child told her parents a short time later. She and Fournier are not related.
Fournier was arraigned in Cortlandville Town Court and sent to the Cortland County Jail in lieu of no bail. He is scheduled to be back in court on Tuesday.
