As Heart Month kicks off in February, expect to hear a lot about heart disease and how to prevent it.

The February edition of Syracuse Woman Magazine focuses on "Everything Your Heart" with a focus on your heart health, your passion and love.

On the Talk Tonight on NBC3, Managing Editor Farah Jadran unveiled this month's cover. It features two inspiring Syracuse women: Dr. Uzma Iqbal, a cardiologist at St. Joseph's Hospital, and Leisha Doherty, a survivor of heart disease and the Central New York director for Go Red For Women as well as the Heart Ball campaign. The women share their stories of heart health, their many passions and the love they have in their lives.

The February edition also features a column by Lauren Greutman who talks about how to say "I love you" while staying on a budget. Susan Dutch talks about the challenges of online dating in her love and relationships column.

It also features local student athletes, including the journey one woman took to accomplish her goals while she shares the inspiration in her life and reflects on the people that supported her. It also features Syracuse University's basketball player Lacie Hall, Onondaga Community College lacrosse player Erin Herr and Le Moyne College's soccer and lacrosse players Claire and Maggie Monnat.

Keeping with the love theme, the magazine features a group of eight "transplants" including CNYCentral Anchor Megan Coleman. The group includes a diverse membership of seven women and one man who all decided to stay in Syracuse to follow their hearts and for their careers.
