You may have noticed many people wearing red today. It's in an effort to promote heart health awareness.

Since the American Heart Association launched the Go Red for Women campaign, it estimates it's helped save 627,000 lives. But heart disease is still the number one killer of women in the U.S. More women die from heart disease each year than from breast cancer.

CNYCentral Anchor Lisa Spitz lost her father to heart disease several years ago. She shared her personal story on the Talk Tonight to raise awareness about heart disease.
