SALINA -- The Onondaga County Sheriff announced the arrest of Zachary Zeller, 18 of Larkin Street Thursday evening. Here is how investigators say the crimes happened:

Just before 3:30 pm this afternoon, Zeller drove to his ex-girlfriend's home, on Limetree Lane in the Town of Clay, where he shoved his way into her residence when she answered the door. Once inside the home, Zeller confronted the girl's boyfriend and an altercation ensued. Zeller returned to his vehicle and drove it into the boyfriend's car causing minor damage. While ramming the car, Zeller threatened the ex-girlfriend, who was near the driveway, to get in the car and sped off once she complied. The girl's family immediately called for police.

Sheriff's deputies began searching for Zeller's car, which Sheriff's Deputy Robert Bechtel spotted traveling north on Brewerton Road, near the Northern Lights Plaza. At approximately 3:50 pm, Deputy Bechtel pulled Zeller over and took him in custody without incident.

Zeller is charged with burglary, unlawful imprisonment and more.
