SYRACUSE -- The Syracuse Orange football season kicks off on the big stage of Metlife Stadium against the Penn State Nittany Lions in the “New York’s College Classic” on Saturday, August 31st. Tickets will go on sale Monday, April 22 at 10am, and can also be purchased at the Metlife Stadium and IZOD Center box offices starting April 23 at 11am.

This will be the second of 14 games SU will play at Metlife Stadium through 2038, according to suathletics.com.

This will be the first game for head coach Scott Schafer, who returns several players from last year’s Pinstripe Bowl-winning team. Coach Schafer will also have a lot of questions to answer after losing two of his biggest offensive weapons in QB Ryan Nassib and wide receiver Alec Lemon.
