NORTH SYRACUSE -- The North Syracuse Central School district rolled out its new budget plan Monday evening. The spending plan which you can browse by clicking here (click on February 25th meeting, view the agenda, click on Inital Budget Draft) calls for the establishment of full day kindergarten, as well as boosting class sizes in grades 3 through 12.

The district did not indicate a need for job cuts - in fact, in providing full day kindergarten, the budget calls for adding 15 teachers. The spending plan calls for the elimination of band and orchestra at the elementary school level - and a reduction in athletic programs.
