LIVERPOOL -- Canine Carnival 2012 is on the way with even more animals and fun things to do including a live concert. The date is Saturday August 4th from 10am – 4pm at a new location, Long Branch Park in Liverpool.

Admission is FREE and it will be held rain or shine. We encourage everyone to bring your pets.

Last year’s Canine Carnival was another incredible success with more than 60 vendors and animal rescues represented, food, music, and 6000 people in attendance. Best of all, more than 100 dogs found good homes.

Our new location features much greater parking capacity with many additional vendors and rescues represented.

Along with a live concert at 2pm, other new features this year include a Red Cross Blood Drive, dog washing & grooming, a kids play area and sports zone featuring local sports teams. Horse carriage rides around the park will also be available. Spay & Neuter Syracuse (SANS) will offer micro-chipping for your pet. Veterinary Medical Center of CNY will have an emergency triage center on site for your pets.

Limited booth space is still available for rescues & business. If interested, please email wmahar@cnycentral.com.

Proceeds from the Canine Carnival go to the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation (a non-profit foundation named after my Mom who passed away five years ago and loved animals). To date, PMAWF has donated nearly $30,000 to animal welfares and rescues in central NY.

Thanks to our great sponsors Wegmans, Liverpool Village Animal Hospital, CNYcentral and Veterinary Medical Center of CNY.

The forcast shows a heat wave for Central New York, but the Canine Carnvial will be a place to cool off!

Long Branch Park has more trees and shade than anything else and we'll have a large misting tent set up for people and pets

We'll have hundreds of water bowls and hoses for an unlimited water supply with staff dedicated to just making sure each rescue and vendor has everything they need, like water!

A Veterinary Medical Center of CNY (runnings our animal triage center on site) will be handing out "Doggie SnoCones" from their SnoCone machine.

Rural Metro and Park EMS folks will be set up for any humans in need of assistance and VMC CNY will have a full staff for any animals that need assistance.

Lastly, we'll have a giant gathering tent at the center of everything filled with picnic tables for you to sit, eat, and relax in the shade.

If you need directions, use the address 3813 Long Branch Rd, Liverpool, NY 13088.
