SYRACUSE -- Onondaga County, the city of Syracuse and the American Red Cross plan to hold a blood drive in Syracuse to help out with the Hurricane Sandy relief effort.

The Red Cross tells us a blood drive will be held at the OnCenter in Syracuse on Monday, November 5th from 8am to 2pm.

The super storm forced the cancellation of more than 325 blood drives in the Northeast and the Red Cross expects even more cancellations while impacted areas deal with the storm's aftermath.

The Red Cross is also accepting charitable donations.
