SYRACUSE -- It's wedding planning season!

Spring, summer and fall are all popular times to get married and right now many future brides and grooms are hard at work planning that special day. ‘Today in Central New York’ is going to make that process easier.

Experts will show all the trends live on ‘Today in Central New York’ from Monday, February 18th though Friday, February 22nd.

The week will include a look at fashion trends, flowers, photos, cakes and how to shape up for the big day. One lucky couple will get a free engagement photo shoot.

On Monday, Wedding Planner Megan Hiltbrand, of MLH Events, was live on the show talking about the overall process including how to plan a wedding, how to budget for a wedding, current wedding trends, how to handle stress, and how to make your once-in-a-lifetime day unique and personal. (Watch the segment.)

Paul Kammer, of Edges Photography, also joined us in studio on Monday to give insight into important questions to ask when hiring a wedding photographer. We’ll also take a look at some of the trends in wedding photography. (Watch the segment)

On Tuesday, Kathy Felser, owner of Syracuse Cake Art, was live on ‘Today in Central New York’ to show us trends in wedding cakes. Fisher says many people are selecting cupcakes, instead of traditional wedding cake, because of the flexibility in variety. Cupcakes are also less expensive. (Watch the segment.)

On Wednesday, Marie Adornato of Spybaby, was live on ‘Today in Central New York’ with four models to look at trends in wedding gowns. We also looked at options for purchasing wedding gowns that won't break the bank. (Watch the segment)

On Thursday, Frank Brice, a local florist, was live on 'Today in Central New York' to talk about floral trends. (Watch the segment)

On Friday, we were live at Well Rounded Health and Fitness to show how to get fit for you wedding. (Watch the semgment.)

Join us for ‘Today in Central New York’ from 4am to 7am weekday mornings on NBC-3 and check back here next week for videos of the segments.
