The U.S. State Department is recommending American travelers be cautious if they are planning on going to Europe, and airline passengers in Syracuse are taking note.
The State Department issued the travel alert on Sunday amidst reports of a possible terrorist plot.
Travelers coming through Hancock International Airport Sunday say they have some concerns about the alert.
Eleanor Scott is travelling to London with her husband. She says she's not worried about the potential threat, but she will be more cautious.
"I'm concerned enough to be careful, to look around me and watch what's happening," Scott says. "I'll do that particularly if we're at a tourist attraction."
Other travelers aren't as concerned. John Innes returned from Orlando. He says the alert doesn't change anything for him.
"I don't think I would be any more diligent or less diligent than I would be under normal circumstances because I have complete faith in the system," Scott says.
Most travelers we spoke with said the alert wouldn't prevent them from going to Europe, but they would be more careful if they did go overseas.
