WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. Capitol Police say six protesters have been arrested at Sen. Joseph Lieberman's office in Washington.

Sgt. Kimberly Schneider says officers arrested the protesters Tuesday morning at the Hart Senate Office Building. Schneider says the protesters were asked to leave Lieberman's seventh-floor office but refused to go away.

She says the protesters have been charged with unlawful entry.

It wasn't immediately clear what they were protesting. Lieberman is an independent from Connecticut.
