ALBANY (AP) -- It turns out that the special election last week for the 23rd Congressional District seat in New York may not be over after all.

Although conservative Doug Hoffman conceded and Democrat Bill Owens was sworn into Congress last week, the routine recanvassing of votes shows Owens' lead has narrowed to 3,000 votes. The final outcome will depend on how as-yet uncounted absentee ballots break.

Hoffman admitted defeat when he was told he was down by more than 5,000 votes.

If the count overturns the election, Owens could be removed from office.

The Syracuse Post-Standard first reported that problems in some counties resulted in underreporting of votes for Hoffman on Election Night.

Hoffman's campaign is monitoring the recanvassing. Owens' spokesman didn't immediately return a call.

Where are all the Fair and Unbiased Observers

So, where is the hue and cry about this stolen election? Why isn't Bill Owen cautioning the election commissioners to check all the votes? What did we learn in Florida in 2000 when Gore was beaten like a dog, even after 27 recounts?

And what does this say about the new election machines? As I have said on several occasions, these machines are junk. We WASTED MILLIONS - all because the fools in Florida were to stupid to read and follow SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS.

I still say we need to have VOTING TESTS! Keep the weak-minded and inept OUT OF THE VOTING PROCESS! And the slow - I still suggest there is both a MENTAL and a PHYSICAL TESTS - keep the fat and lazy out of the booth.

Then, we won't have soaring deficits and crazed spending - as currently being proposed by the Democrats regarding health care. And the poor can either dig themselves out of their ruts, OR STAY IN THE POORHOUSE AND POLITELY PUT THEIR HAND OUT.

As opposed to now, where the unapologetic squealing and shrieking at the public trough is unappetizing at best.

Stay in the race, Mr. Hoffman. Don't let these criminals steal the election.

Rest in Peace, double D and Mr. Owens.

See - another stolen election

I told you guys these evil republicans are stealing the country. Another lost election. If you Oswego folks don't check on this, and count every vote a bunch of times, and swing them chads, me and my buddy Jimmy "toothsome" Carter will be wandering around the north country, keeping on these precedings.

Oh, wait. This is the democrats steal the election.

Never Mind!
