AUBURN, CAYUGA COUNTY -- The Auburn Police Department has announced a new effort to track down accused criminals who have warrants outstanding against them. The Department reports in a news release that it has 665 active warrants of arrest, and is looking to locate these people.
To do so, the Department is posting the entire list of active warrants on its website. The list, sorted alphabetically, contains the name of the defendant, the date and court of issue, and the offense(s) that the defendant is accused of.
Police are asking for the public’s help in closing some of these active warrants. You can go to www.auburnpolice.com and click on the “Active Warrant List” link on right right side of the page. The complete list is available for download in an Adobe PDF file.
